Update: My Aunt Margaret died on 5-24-2010, after suffering a heart attack. Although she was still in ICU, we were still shocked as she had been gradually improving. I greatly appreciate all the prayers and good thoughts for her over this past week.

I will be absent from the blog for awhile but I will be back.

Abby

I started a blog and sudd-enly incorrect info is swirling around. I’m a little shocked to be honest, but I’m going to attempt to clear up some confusion you may have. If you want to know anything else (within reason-lol) just ask me and I’ll answer! I hope it doesn’t come across as hateful but I’m just going to get to the point of whatever and not sugar-coat it.

I am not the Boston who used to comment on at least one blog (maybe more?). I had never commented on his site until Friday, 5-14-2010. That day, I was asking questions that many of us had and I was banned from his site. MD and I were not friends before I started my blog in any way, shape, or form. I saw this mentioned on another’s blog entry and left a comment there and asked them to corect it.

As I put in the comment section at the beginning of the week; my aunt has been in ICU and therefore, I have not had the time to devote to this blog. I don’t have another mod to rely on so I have tried my best to keep up with it. I admit, I have not done so well. I put so much time into researching my last post, I’ve had little time for anything else besides my aunt.

My daughter also came in for a visit this weekend. She takes priority over this blog any day!

In the email response to his apology to me, I told him that he really owed Sirjeff and others an apology and even suggested he make a post to do so. IMO, it would help to undo some of the damage he has caused other people. Notice I said “some” of the damage.

MD told me that he did put up such a post in the past and that he was ripped to shreads-worse than before the post. I have been told by two people that the post did not happen. I haven’t had the time to go searching/research due to the reasons above (real life). Yes, I put priority on getting my other blog entry out, http://theunseenside.wordpress.com/2010/05/22/leaving-a-nasty-legacy/ because it was important for me to say. And I still feel very strongly about it and don’t regret putting my extra time into getting that post up.

Plus, people started to ask about the next entry. I stayed up until 4:30 a.m. so I could get The Legacy entry up. I am doing the best I can considering what’s happened since I first started this blog 9 days ago.

At the time I started this blog, I had only commented a few times on Blink’s blog (maybe a couple more that I can’t remember here and there) over the course of the last several years. I did, however, visit a lot of the others. At most, on all the blogs in the world, I’ve commented 5-7 times. That is why I am not a famaliar name to most.

I am not “friends” with any blog owners because I never even commented on their blogs! Yes, I have 1 (one) person that I chit-chat back and forth with about various things and I met her as a result of this blog. She does not own her own blog. So, I guess you could say I only have one online friend. Yes, I am admitting that I am a looser. lol

I do hope to be able to get back to more blogging but I can’t tell you when that will be. On top of the above mentioned things going on, I also have a couple of changes going on in my life–the first one starting tomorrow (Monday). As soon as I am comfortable with that, I think I can really get back in the swing of things.

Oh, one more (edit)–I can’t keep up with the bashing unless I have to modify all comments. I literally just had to delete one in the past five minutes since posting this and I don’t have the time.

Once again, I’m doing the best I can right now. Please don’t leave me nasty comments about being stuck in mod for 4 hours on Sunday. I love chit-chatting with everyone, as most can tell by my long-winded responses to those who comment here. I did not realize the amount of work that it takes to keep up with a blog or I would not have started a blog at this time in my life. If I find that poeple would rather me delete this blog, rather than occasionally having to neglect it for a day or so, then I will do it and start again down the road.

I have enjoyed chatting with everyone though, no matter what ends up happening to my blog. If I end up deleting it, it doesn’t mean your words were unimportant. It means, I screwed up!

I hope everyone had a great weekend!

Abby

p.s. I saw a comment somewhere a couple weeks ago saying only one person uses the word “folks”. I have tried to avoid saying it on here to avoid any confusion but I admit I do say that word A LOT in real life. “You folks get your ass on out the door so I can go to bed” is my most frequent–jk! But I do say it a lot.

And I’m still trying to catch up as I type this!

*image belongs to inquister.com

“The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness, for he is truly his brother’s keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I’m The Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you.”

Legacy: Something handed down from an ancestor or a predecessor or from the past

Part 1 (A long post/short story)

Imagine having instant gratification back in the day when getting revenge as opposed to the drawn out process of revenge by gossip-spreading or meeting after school for a brawl. I grew up during the times when revenge meant boys fought after school and girls would start a rumor at 9 a.m. and the entire high school would know by lunch time. Occasionally, the “wild girls” would fight each other and were, at times, more vicious than the boys. I wasn’t one of those wild girls but I did get in a fight in the 9th grade. It was my first and last fight.

I’d had all I could take of this girl’s torment after six weeks of sending vicious rumors around school. Torment is too kind of a word to describe it because she sent rumor after humiliating rumor around the school. To this day, I don’t know why. I wish I did because it has bothered me all these years how someone would do that to a person who hadn’t done anything to deserve it. We didn’t even know each other. One day, between classes, a friend of mine told me what I’d heard numerous times before; the girl in my next class was the one who’d been spreading the rumors. Of course, I’m angry but I’d always been told “ignore it and it will go away.” But it wasn’t going away; it was getting worse. At that point, the rumors had been going on for about six weeks and I was humiliated, embarrassed and I hated going to school anymore.

Jokingly, I blame the fight on my algebra teacher because he was late for class. Had he shown up on time, I wouldn’t have sat there…getting angrier by the second; minute after minute, until BAM! I don’t know why but I decided it was a good time to test my fighting skills that no one had bothered to teach me! Well, either I was lucky or she was weak because I kicked that girl’s ass! Truth be told, I was shocked I’d actually won! We both had our friends standing up for us, egging it on by saying the other was deserving of what each got. She had to walk around the rest of the day holding her button-up shirt together because I’d somehow pulled the buttons off. Not to mention her black eye she wore for about a week. And let me tell you, I was horrified that she was going to retaliate and my luck would run out. Then I’d be the one with the black eye. It never happened, thank the Lord. As stupid as it sounds, I have always felt guilty for embarrassing her in front of the class. The rumors did become less frequent but didn’t stop all-together for awhile. It was a stupid, spur of the second decision that I have always regretted because I knew exactly how humiliated she felt. After all, she’d been humiliating me for weeks. Two wrongs will never add up to one right.

Today, things are so much easier. If I chose to, I could just sit here on my bed and with the click of the mouse destroy someone’s life. No need for that old-fashioned stuff of fighting and only leaving a bruise! With the internet, I can ruin someone for life in a fraction of a second! As Dr. Laura said on her website “In some ways, damaging someone’s reputation is akin to murdering them, as their reputation is devastated world-wide and forever.” I don’t believe I could look myself in the mirror if I knew I was leaving a lie-filled legacy for someone’s children and grandchildren to see, for years to come. I can’t imagine my grandchildren looking up grandma for kicks on Google and coming across the words “whore” or “douche bag” during their search. Gramma, what does douche bag mean? You didn’t tell me you were one. That’s a cruel thing to do to someone. Would you want that kind of legacy for your grandchildren to see? I pray to God I never have to deal with that day.

Sometimes not only the victim has to pay the price. In 2006, a Florida woman named Sue Scheff won $11.3 million in a lawsuit as a result of libelous and slanderous statements against her online. In a WSJ article wrote by Jacquelyn Eschbach, Sue Scheff said “Until you go through a vengeful attack on your good name, service or business, you have no idea what a Google bomb can do to you.” Ms. Scheff said that there were horrific statements about her found when doing a search of her name. I can’t blame her one bit for suing. I can honestly say if someone ever went to those lengths because they didn’t like me or wanted revenge, I would take every step necessary to make sure that person regretted the day they typed my name on their computer. Who would want to leave that legacy for their kids? It’s such a cowardly act and when things have reached that level of viciousness and cruelty, something must be done.

Why are the vile, despicable words said to others just accepted as if they were saying “good morning?” It’s in front of our eyes and in some cases, in front of children’s eyes. What about standing up for others when it’s the right thing to do? What about standing up for morals and values, and basic human decency? Why is it accepted and swept under the rug? Maybe some don’t want to feel left out or don’t want to anger someone by pointing out their lack of morals. Maybe they just don’t want to get involved. Some may even fear being attacked if they do stand up for what’s fair. Some turn their backs and pretend it’s not even there or start talking about their rights under the first amendment. Something tells me our founding fathers would have never agreed to allow someone to be mercilessly attacked, day after day. They never could have imagined the internet when the constitution was written. If we don’t make it safe for people now, then our children and grandchildren will inherit the idea that this kind of treatment is normal and should just be accepted. It’s not.

So, what do you think your legacy will be? Will you be a victim of the internet or will you be remembered for your basic decency and honesty by not allowing this to continue? If we do nothing, then we are part of the problem. Continuing a relationship with someone who disrespects the rights of others makes you part of the problem, as well. You are feeding this person’s distorted ideas and telling them you agree and support their cruel acts. Ending your relationship will send a message that you will not stand for their lack of human decency any longer.

Is that your legacy? Or will your legacy be that of a coward? Too afraid to stand up for what’s right and fair?

I leave you with the short version of First They Came, attributed to Pastor Martin Niemöller:

“THEY CAME FIRST for the Communists,
and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Communist.

THEN THEY CAME for the Jews,
and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Jew.

THEN THEY CAME for the trade unionists,
and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a trade unionist.

THEN THEY CAME for me
and by that time no one was left to speak up.”

*Edit, 5-19-2010: Also, please note that if your comment contains the url that is currently linked to an innocent party, this blog is now set up to automatically send your post into moderation, even if you have commented here before. I will remove that link and then post your comment ASAP. Please look over your link to make sure no innocent party’s names are mentioned. Thanks for understanding!

This is my truth today, Sunday, May 16, 2010. If you are looking for a short bedtime story, this isn’t it. It’s long (very) but I want MY TRUTH out there. As always, your comments/feedback is welcome and appreciated. I hate talking to myself because its further proof I really am out there!

I’ve always considered myself to be a relatively fair and honest person. Those closest to me would agree. I tend to be rather upfront with everything and most times, you’ll get no surprises from me on that issue. Now, my husband wishes I was that way in all aspects of my life because I totally catch him by surprise daily, with some things that just pop in my head and I blurt out. No matter where I’m at or who it involves, I speak first and deal with the consequences later.

This entire blog is one of those consequences. I’ve thrown around the word “naïve” like a Frisbee over the last several days when speaking of some aspects of any random blog entry. One thing I am not naïve about is people’s right to their opinions on their blogs. Each and every blog out there is nothing more than a few documents, facts pertaining to those documents, and the rest is their opinion, along with the opinions of those who choose to comment there. This blog is no different when it comes to opinions but you won’t find any documents relating to any cases here because that’s not what this blog is about. It’s not what I choose to write about and, as the blog owner, that’s my right. There are numerous places where I can go to get info on most cases in the U.S. If we all wrote about the same thing, we might as well be in a communist country with no options. Who is the ultimate decision maker to say what is considered important at each particular blog? The reader. By choosing to continue reading and deciding whether or not to return to that particular blog, each reader decides if what is being discussed is important enough to return to it. That is a choice we all have the freedom to make.

What really gets me fired up about adsense, and even ads, is that the choice is immediately removed from me as to whether or not I want any money going to that particular blog owner. Of course, it is my choice to continue going back to contribute to the blog owner’s revenue if I enjoy their articles. But for each and every one of us, that first-time visitor revenue is not our choice. Now, hypothetically speaking, if a link to a particular blog is clicked on by first time users 100 times per day, that’s 100 times of revenue going to a blog owner whether or not the reader disagrees with what is being said at their particular blog. Naturally, if those 100 readers choose to go back, they are willingly choosing to do so because the content is worth it for them. I do it daily and have even purchased a small token from one to help with their costs because I enjoy it that much. No one forced me to do it and I was more than glad to help and will gladly do so again in the near future. Yes, I’m willing to pay to help some blog owners keep their blogs around. I admit it.

I’ve also said in the comment section that the truth can make a difference in whether or not I agree with how they choose to generate any possible money. When Marinade Dave posted his entry about blaming the defense for being a journalist, therefore he should expect to be paid, I was in total disagreement and angry, which led to creating the blog. MD has since shared that he is needs help financially from those who read at his site and who wish to continue reading. I see no problem with that, as it is honest. It is no different than the upright honesty at other blogs, seeking help to defray the cost of servers. Being told the truth can make a difference in how a reader digests the info he has been told.

I have strived for the truth every time I have wrote any words here. Having lies mixed up among facts is confusing and appear as if I don’t care about the truth. I do. If comments are left here that I know full well are not truthful, I feel I am being just as dishonest by not attempting to state the truth.(That plus, as I’ve discussed in a previous entry, who wants to be sued for spreading slander? Not me. Not today, anyway.) I do know for a fact that MD is not receiving disability as of this moment. I know for a fact that I have no clue how many hours per week he searches for a job. None. And if I am honest here, it’s actually none of my business. I said I’d tell the truth, even if it makes me look foolish. The truth is the truth, no matter how it’s spun. I’ve seen a comment that says he’s not actively looking for a job. Do I know that to be fact? No. Do they? I don’t know. Maybe they will comment again and shed some light on what they may or may not know. In summary for the money discussion, I just felt that the paypal link with the story about the prosecuters was deceitful and misleading. At least now, we have the truth. Isn’t that what we all seek? I know I do.

I will never agree with name-calling and think it’s hurtful to the soul. It has no place, IMO, on any blog that professes to seek the truth. I will always feel that the child molester thing was a cruel thing to do and it does deserve an apology. It was damaging and hurtful and I do not think peace will begin to rear its head until that happens. IMO, its one thing to converse about whether or not someone may or may not have had BO, but being falsely labeled a child molester is in a whole other league. I did receive an apology from MD for the name I was called yesterday and it was appreciated because I felt it was hurtful and mean-spirited. I honestly feel that another apology, where it’s deserved, will go a long way in repairing some of the hurt that was caused. But that’s just MHO, as always.

Last thing (finally!), I was sent an email asking if I condone violence in relation to a comment on my site. Here is the important part of that comment:

“Well, I need to find out! I promised Mr. Knechel that at the next hearing I was going to have a little toe to toe tete a tete about just why he is posting under my name using foul language.”

I am pretty sure this comment was left on this blog but I can’t find it so this was taken from my email and I have no link. I would like to answer that email publicly so there is no confusion how I feel about it. Maybe it’s that d@mn naïve thing again but I took this to mean the person was going to verbally confront Marinade Dave. If it’s not, I hope someone lets me know because I have no idea what tete a tete means, or even implies. I just assumed (makes an ass of you and me-I know). Even though I don’t feel that is what the commenter means, I’m just going to go ahead and state for the record: I do not condone threats of physical violence being said on the internet. It doesn’t matter if it’s from Marinade Dave, Suzie Q, a commenter here, or Joe Blow down the street; I don’t agree with cyber-bullying. Period.

This is my truth today, Sunday, May 16, 2010. Thanks for taking the time to read it because I felt it was important for me to say. I may lose a few followers for speaking the truth but it’s still not going to go away just because they leave this blog.

G’nite.

It really is a wide, diverse world we live in. I always thought most of us were guided by this little thing called morals and that it was mostly child molesters and murderers who didn’t have them. They aren’t like the rest of us, who are guided by the basic sense of what’s right and what’s wrong. Apparently, everyday people turn into freaks when they see the opportunity to make a buck. The guy who owns the local convenience store here is like that. He’ll do anything for a buck and it’s a running joke amongst the people of the town and his own employees. I often wonder if he knows what people really think of him.

I think Dave Knechel is one of those people and has finally done himself in. There is no way that any real players have even a tiny, minute ounce of respect left for him. Even if his blog continues on, no one respects him! We can’t do anything about those few who swarm to him like stink on $hit, leaving us all wondering wtf? It came about so quickly, it made heads spin. The first person to comment about paypal ON HIS BLOG (not phone or snail mail) was a user by the name of Sydney:

sydney // May 13, 2010 at 4:45 pm “Dave one other question if you don’t mind. Do you know how many hits your site receives daily? Now I know this is none of my biz but I’d think the hits will reach a frenzy level as we get closer and closer to trial. And as such advertisers would want to place an ad, at least until the the trial ends. Wouldn’t they? Have you looked into this? You certainly deserve to make some money from your time consuming project. And before I’m excoriated (not by you but by the other readers) for suggesting this let me say I’m not open to making $$ from Caylee’s demise, but from the interest we all generate in reading you EVERY DAY! Just a thought and for all I know one which you may have heard before but, don’t forget lots of web sites started small and now are quite the money makers….”(http://marinadedave.wordpress.com/2010/05/13/today-show-this-morning/)

Dave’s response:

“Sydney – Yes, I know how many hits my blog gets daily, but I won’t say for obvious reasons. My type of WordPress blog does not support advertising and I’d rather keep it free of that, anyway, considering the nature of the blog. Believe me, I have thought about adding a little PayPal logo for donations, but that would be a little tacky.”

And then he also said to Suz:

“Hi, suz, great to see you! Trust me, I’ve thought about a PayPal link, but I still think it would be tacky. Yes, all of those trips – everything comes out of pocket, not that I’m complaining or anything.”

So, obviously things have changed since May 13 (only 2 days ago). Apparently, he decided getting some money would be worth being tacky because a paypal link was added. By May 14, he had added the paypal logo, along with his pitiful justification why he thinks he should be able to accept donations from readers. I think he does think because he KNOWS it’s tacky (see his own words above) and it’s just not right. Dave Knechel IS MAKING A PROFIT OFF OF A MURDERED CHILD. No matter how you slice it, that is fact. As I said in the previous post, anything over one dime is a profit so both Marinade Dave and Snoopysleuth are lying when they say he is not making a profit. He has no right to make any money off of the blood of Caylee. I don’t know how he lives with himself. He wouldn’t have 10% of the readers he now has if it weren’t for a murdered, duct-taped baby named Caylee Marie Anthony. He had nowhere near that number of visitors before he began blogging about it and even admitted it during one of his many interviews.

*Update: David Knechel; I do not take kindly to threats. I invite you to do whatever it is you feel you need to do regarding your hissy-fit about this blog. I was actually expecting. But be forwarned, I will NOT put up with the shit you’ve pulled on others…not by a long shot. Apparently, you haven’t read by post regarding Fred. You might want to do so You will be receiving an email from me very shortly regarding the illegal comment on your blog.

Although I have NOT received email from Dave Knechel regarding this, it was brought to my attention on this blog that his site may have been hacked this afternoon. After a pissed-off 1:15am phone call I made, I will give him benefit of the doubt with this one comment and remove it. However, I will request proof of being “hacked” in the future before removing any comments. Signed: Abby (not from Boston)

I’m curious as to why he linked to his blogspot instead of his wordpress acct. Why does he need two of the same sites? He’s so greedy, he’s actually out spreading the word about wanting donations!

And I’ll ask again, why does he need to be on disability? He has proven that he CAN, in fact, work. And I wonder if he will allow complete and full auditing of his paypal account with full disclosure on just how much PROFIT he is pulling in. Are you still proclaiming that you are not going to profit Dave Knechel? Profit off of the blood-soaked-duct taped-murdered baby girl by the name of Caylee Marie Anthony? And just what are all those expenses you claim to have besides gas? Did you not volunteer to do it? You can bet your ass you have lost what small amount of respect you have left in those whose respect you needed most. Now, you’re just another scum bag profiting off of Caylee’s murder. Now, nobody respects you. Nobody.

What say you, Dave?

**UPDATE:

I would like to let it be known to Dave Knechel, and all others, that anything I have to say will be posted here. It’s quite obvious that your foolish attempts to write messages in my name are dismal failures. It’s human nature that you will continue to read here and if I have something to say to anyone in particular, I have enough ass about myself to say it right here and sign my damn name to it.

I only put that I was from Boston, MA. for the purposes of ignorant fools trying to track me down; I’m NOT FROM BOSTON. Some dumba$$, not knowing I made it up, actually wrote a comment up and signed my name and then put “from Boston”. Not to mention my last name wrong. Ignorance has reached new levels.

Please continue making yourselves look foolish. The rest of the (sane) world is getting quite a kick out of it.

Bring it!

Ok. I admit it; I was naive. And I was naive to the fact that I was even naive!

My half-brother, “Fred”, has been following this case as much as he can. I think most were just baffled by the lack of maternal instincts, in the beginning. It still holds true today but a lot more has kept us glued to the case, including justice for Caylee. I don’t think we have ever seen a case like this one. Here are a few one or two-word examples that come to mind; middle-class, white family, narcissistic, possible sociopath, possible psychopath, family dynamics, etc. I think this case will be in most college psychology books, in the near future, for a long time. It’s no wonder people from all walks of life are glued to the TV on court appearance days…either at court time or as soon as possible.

Considering how many things have occurred since the beginning of this tragic story, I decided a short time ago to play it safe. When I started this blog, it was out of sheer anger and feeling I had no safe place to vent and seek possible answers. I wasn’t thinking of all the possible scenarios that could play out or maybe unintentionally crossing that fine line between legal and illegal; slander and not slander. I wanted to make sure this blog isn’t crossing any lines, and doesn’t cross any in the future. Naïve has been a word I’ve used numerous times today. And I was, in fact, naïve, when I first started writing.

I’ve also been witness to many injustices carried out on innocent people, some of them illegal. In reading some responses, I have to agree that Marinade Dave is, in fact, dangerous. I say this only because he is cruel and puts hurtful, damaging things on the internet for all to see. Anyone crossing his path may find themselves with their picture on the internet with child molester warnings attached. I would want to take action if I were a victim and totally understand that finances often play a role where they shouldn’t.

As a result of this blog, I may find Davey a bit pissed at me and to him I say “Bring it! I dare you to slander my name or even my picture, anywhere.” I could never casually say that without the backup of “Fred”. You see, Fred is a little aware of all the goings-on with blogs because of the motion for recusal that was filed. What he didn’t know, I filled him in on. Fred is an attorney with Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher, and Flom. I wanted peace of mind that what I’m doing isn’t crossing any lines. Fred agreed to read over my entries before I post them. I want nothing held against me in any way and I sure don’t want involved in any hanky dealings.

It’s also reassuring to know that if Marinade Dave tries to slander my name anywhere, I have someone to call on. If he can’t put a stop to it, then I’m sure one of the 1,700 other attorneys at that law firm can. I have no intention of discussing this again and debated if I should to begin with. But, in the end, with Fred’s pressure also, I decided to let Dave Knechel (and Doris) know where I stand and what lengths I’m willing to go to defend my name. It is certainly no threat and I expect MD to even bitch about my blog and what I have to say. I wanted to give you fair warning Dave that I will not, in any way shape or form, put up with the shit some others have been able to stomach. And it’s not a threat at all, it’s a promise. We can do this the correct way; like most other civil people. I won’t cross that line and I don’t expect you too, either.

So again, I say “Bring it!” because you have been alerted and I am certainly ready. It is a damn shame that blogs, giving their opinion, have to resort to this. But, due to the actions of others, it has.

This is just FYI to alleviate any fears some people may have regarding what can and cannot be done with your personal info:

Awhile back, there was a Supreme Court case regarding an anti-abortion group, that was posting the real names, and/or addresses, and/or phone numbers, of doctors. The court held that the posting is legal unless it is accompanied by a specific incitement to violence (ex: “beat the crap out of them” or “harass them, here’s their info”), or any other illegal activity (ex: slander) regarding the individual whose information is posted. In other words, if your personal information is posted by someone who has done anything illegal in regards to your personal information, that person is breaking the law. That comes straight from the Supreme Court of the United States!

And just so you all know, it is punishable by a hefty fine and possible jail time (although jail would be highly unlikely). Not to mention the civil penalties that could result from it. Internet crimes have been taken very seriously as they have been increasing in alarming numbers since the dawn of the internet.

Have a great day! I’ll be in and out today, but mostly out. I’m heading out of town right after posting this. I will still check in when I can by phone (internet on phones is a great invention).

One more thing: I was not the author of the emails that had been previously posted on MDs blog and as such, I asked that they be removed, along with any comments that were slander.

I really don’t want comments that criticize other commenters here, so although no one has been banned, I’m not approving comments like those. I only ask that your future comments leave that part out (but I do take note of what is said). The more drama I can cut out, the better and I hope everyone understands.

*Note: This blog entry had to be updated on May 24, 2010. Those famaliar with the “goings on” will understand why.

Remember back in June, 2008, when blogging was a relatively new term to most followers of the Caylee Marie Anthony case? This is my first go at it. I knew some other surfers had to feel the same as I do and so, here I am. Angry, shocked, and in disbelief.

But those three similarities are probably all we have in common. At least, that’s the impression I get from visiting some of the other blogs. I began following this case when it first made national news. I was in disbelief that a mother would wait 31 days to report her daughter missing and then tell numerous lies to law enforcement officials. Its changed so much since then….anyone can run a blog because they make it so easy!

It didn’t take long for the battles to start. I saw it called the “blog wars” the other day. It’s not all sites, either. I’ve seen Val kindly put a stop to anything that seemed to be heading down the wrong path. Maybe there aren’t really wars. Why would there be, anyway? Most of float from blog to blog, and although I have commented less than 20 times, I still have my favs!

But, I have to say, Marinade Dave has slid right off my list. It has NOTHING to do with the defense using him as a pawn to get the judge removed from the CMA case. Absolutely nothing. It’s what happened afterward but for tonight, I’m just going to get to the point because I’m quite tired and it’s much, much later than I ever anticipated!

MD added paypal to his blog! He claimed that he didn’t want to do it (but yet he did) and that he was reluctant to do it (but he did). He them wrote a post claiming that the defense attorneys called him a journalist and why shouldn’t he get money as well.

I’ll tell you why Dave:

-You VOLUNTEER, it is your choice, to interfere in the court proceedings

-If you want to be paid, get a job (why can’t you work again? You are well enough to chase attorneys around and sit in the courthouse for hours!)

-Wordpress is free

You are making a profit off of a murdered child (since your blog is free and you volunteer, any dime that is donated to you, IS profit. So, yes, you are profiting off a dead child, even though you say you aren’t). Do some research on what profit means!

I understand sites like thehinkymeter.com selling “Hinky Gear” on her site because her site costs her money! Its not a blog like Dave’s. I remember when she had to upgrade servers, or whatever you call it, and that stuff ain’t free!!

Marinade dave said this on Thursday:

“Sydney – Yes, I know how many hits my blog gets daily, but I won’t say for obvious reasons. My type of WordPress blog does not support advertising and I’d rather keep it free of that, anyway, considering the nature of the blog. Believe me, I have thought about adding a little PayPal logo for donations, but that would be a little tacky.”

It’s still just as tacky today as it was yesterday. The only thing that’s changed is that you’ve reached the bottom of the cesspool. It’s no better than selling dead baby stories to the National Enquirer. So, what’s changed since yesterday?

If he has already deleted his comment from his blog, it can be found here:

Edit: *The link posted here was removed out of necessity* End Edit

Although, as more comments are added, that comment may move back to page 2, 3, 4, etc. But it is there, along with every comment, even if he deletes them off of his blog. All his vulgar, abusive (which I’ll get to in the next few days) comments are there! He’s trying to be nice as of late, but his vulgar mouth is coming back. Slowly, but surely. I might as well end here because I’m angry and I’ll just keep rambling on and on!

In closing, I’ll use MDs tag line, “Life is short. Words linger.” They sure do, Dave–at backtype.com! Every single one of your words!

G’nite.

-Abby

P.S. as I was being a meanie-pants, copying his tags, I noticed he is using Judge Strickland still as a means to draw people in. I’m not surprised.

**Update** Saturday, May 15: For your convenience, Marinade Dave is now able to accept most major credit cards if you’d like to donate. THIS, from a man who said he didn’t really want the paypal option to begin with. Wow. I’m so angry and disgusted, I’m speachless! Thanks to Hatcat7 for pointing it out to me.

*Also, this is MY blog and I can write about any topic I choose. Starting a wordpress blog is very easy if you don’t like my topic ) I don’t mean to sound hateful but I’m sure most will understand! And once you’ve been through mod w/ the first comment, any after that will appear automatically.

This blog will be a place for me to share whatever it is that I have found so fascinating I want the whole world to be able to find it here. Or to share whatever it is that has stirred emotions in me that are so strong, I want to reach out to the world to see if someone else feels it to. If I’m extremely excited, or joyful, for whatever reason, surely someone else will be excited for the same reason. If we share common ground, we can share those thoughts in the same place. If I’m feeling angry, or disgusted, I’m sure there is at least one other person out there feeling as I do.

The reason I began my blog is I have two things that I want to share that I don’t know where else to discuss them without having to deal with being banned or deal with a lot of cussing (of the extreme kind). I have only participated on three (3) blogs less than 20 times. I was banned from one yesterday (see below) for asking questions that many of us had.

I admit I was upset and even shared that, as I will share here, as well. But I didn’t cuss, although had I known what was to follow, I would have thrown a few in there! It would have been a lot easier for me had he just answered the question I felt deserved an answer without being accused of having an ulterior motive (belonging to a “certain” blog, everyone is “out for blood”, etc.). BUT, I think (although not sure) the reason I was banned was because I told his sidekick she was nosey, after she replied to my question to Dave! Ok, maybe I deserved it! But not for the question I felt deserved an answer that I never got. Is he so afraid of people asking questions because he doesn’t want anyone knowing the truth?

So, here I am. Angry with no answer. And I needed to vent but my family has gone to bed! So, after getting a few things off my chest, I hope to move on to other topics. I certainly don’t want to start a bashing blog. But it’s just not right and I have never been known to look the other way when a wrong is being committed. Am I the only one angry out there?

*No, I didn’t do spell check and yes, I have a tendency to ramble. Those are your warnings!

G’nite.
